Yes I'm agree with maddie, it's important for them to have supportive friends, by only hearing them help a lots!!!
I was one of them, and nearly had suicide, but I have only 5 friends, yes ONLY 5!!! whose always by my side and never tired to take my moans, and finally I could say, I'm loved even only by 5 person of whole words..

open their eyes and tell them "You're not alone" =)
