About MeI am a mother, a grandmother, and very recently, a widow. I was raised on a small organic farm in Minnesota, where I learned to care about the earth and her resources, and about the animals, insects and plants that share this planet with us. Because my husband was ill I did not have the time or money to actively support the causes I care for. Now that he has died, I still don't have much money, but I have time. I am hoping I can learn how to become an actvist on this website. What I Care AboutI believe that we are called to be the caretakers of earth, her resources and her inhabitants, not her rulers and certainly not her exploiters. I believe that it is our sacred duty to protect and nurture her for the future generations. I believe that all humanity is connected one to another. It is our responsbility to make sure that all people have enough food, fresh water and the basic necessities of life. We need to ensure that all people are protected, safe, and cared for. It is important to stop abuse of children in our own country, but how can we turn a blind eye to the abuse of children in Darfur? We must fight to stop it.PetsNone at this timePoliticsIndependent, but I will probably become more involved with the Green PartyReligionWiccanBooksToo many to list! :-DMoviesActin-Adventure (Indepenence Day), Fantasy (Dragonheart, th Lord of the, Rings trilogyTV ShowsThe CSI sows; documentariesFavorite FoodsChinese, Mexican, Italian, Greek -- anything, really, as long as it is vegetarianFavorite PlacesUsually whereever I am at the moment, though I love Crete |
